Faith’s Foundation surprise Shaun Coleman in ‘My Biggest Wish’ campaign

Last Sunday morning we set out to Sheffield with one very special objective and that was to put a huge smile upon Shaun Coleman’s face.

Shaun suffers from Cerebral Palsy and has been visiting Bluebell Wood since May 2010. Bluebell Wood plays a role in respite care for Shaun giving both Shaun and his family the support that they need.

Shaun is an avid Sheffield Wednesday fan, so we took it upon ourselves to intrude on the Coleman family’s Sunday afternoon with a surprise visit to their home with Sheffield Wednesday striker, Caolan Lavery.

Kerry Coleman, Shaun’s mum said “It was such a lovely surprise to open the front door to Sheffield Wednesday’s Caolan Lavery on Sunday morning! Shaun is a die-hard SWFC fan and is mad on football – so meeting Caolan was a dream come true for him. He stayed and talked to Shaun, had photos and signed a football for him. It was great to see Shaun smiling, he really deserved a treat! I’d like to thank Faith’s Foundation for making Shaun’s wish happen, it was amazing how quickly you turned it all around and we can’t thank you enough for making our boy smile.“

Caolan was equally as thankful to be given the opportunity to meet Shaun and honoured that he was able to make this such a special experience for him.
