Faiths Foundation Courage Inspiration Giving

“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”

– Faith Brookes

Faith’s Foundation is the charity arm of The Icons-Series of which its purpose is to raise awareness and proceeds through its various global sporting networks and events. The Foundation is named in recognition of Faith Brookes, mother to The Icons-Series Founder & CEO Thomas Brookes, who felt it was his due to give something back in acknowledgement of his mothers tireless commitment and hard work to charity.

Faith’s Foundation will be a continual network of support for Bluebell Wood children’s hospice in Sheffield. Faith has dedicated herself and works incessantly to assist the team in the inspirational work and services that they provide for a number of children, young persons and families that need it most. We will also be extending our support network out to SpecialEffect, a sensational charity whose mission is to bring inclusion into the lives of those with disability through specialised equipment for gaming and leisure technology.

“It costs over £3 million a year to run the amazing services that Bluebell Wood provides for children with a shortened life expectancy and their families; receiving less than 5% statutory funding, the help of others is vital .”

Special Effect

Special Effect is a unique organisation that helps those with disability play the video games that they love. Bringing a sense of inclusion, fun and interaction with friends and family back into their lives. Without specialist help, it’s almost impossible for people with disabilities to match their favourite games with a control device that works for them. As a result, they can only sit and watch while their brothers, sisters and friends have all the fun.

Meet The Team

Thomas Brookes

Founder & Trustee

Inspired by his Mothers hard work and selfless dedication to charity, Thomas decided to set up the organisation as the charity arm to The Icons-Series, his sports events and entertainment company.

Tom wanted to utilise his extensive contacts and networks from within the sporting world to the benefit of charity in the name of his mother and also in recognition of his late father Barry, who lost his long battle with illness in 1997.

Faith Brookes

Faith has dedicated much of her life to working tirelessly for numerous charity organisations.

Faith’s difficult experience of living through her late husband Barry’s illness only served to further inspire her to raising money and awareness in helping others with terminal illness, with a particular connection to St Luke’s Hospice and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in South Yorkshire.

Faith is a hugely popular member of her local community in the village of Harthill, South Yorkshire and it is her selflessness and dedication to putting others before her self that inspired Thomas to form a charity in her name.

Having graduated from Liverpool’s John Moores Univeristy in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminology, Morgan’s passion and commitment to raising awareness for good causes has seen her create and manage numerous charity events including a successful climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010.
